Punch Press Operator

Strom Minnesota is currently looking for Punch Press Operators for our client in Buffalo, MN. There are opportunities available on both 1st and 2nd shift. 1st shift 6:
am-2:
30pm M-F 2nd shift 2:
30pm-1:
am M-Th.
Set up and operate presses between 45T to 150T. Produce quality parts in a timely and productive manner. Identify and report part or tool malfunction. Relay quality and production issues to the Production Manager. Work and maintain housekeeping in the work area.
Inspect and record part dimensions per quality plan and customer specifications
Recognize and report problems when parts do not conform to customer specifications
Package finished parts for next operation
Remove and clear scrap from press and work area, as needed
Report part counts and labor accurately and in a timely manner
Good communication skills, multitasking skills, and careful attention to detail
Understand the basics of punching tools and equipment
Be able to read and interpret blueprints and job packets
Capable in the use of calipers, gauge pins, and drop-through gauges
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently in order to derive and communicate information from manufacturing documents
Ability to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 6 a.m. to 2:
30 p.m. or 2:
30 p.m. to 1 a.m., as well as overtime, as needed
Ability to stand/sit or walk for up to 10 hours per day
Ability to regularly lift and twist the torso with packages up to 50 pounds
Occasionally lift up to 90 pounds
Ability to acquire and maintain forklift license; operate a forklift in a safe and productive mannerEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
